Eating Protein is considered to be the most important thing while building Muscle. All the fitness enthusiast takes more protein than most others. People who work out never stop taking whey Protein Supplements and Protein Shakes to complete their protein intake.
But will increasing excessive Protein help you build more muscle?
Not much people are aware that increasing your Protein intake won’t do anything if you don’t eat other Nutrients, and can cause Health Problems as well.
Having said that, it doesn’t mean you should drop your Protein intake too much. Males are advised to have 56 G Protein a Day, while 46 G for Women. For those who are Bodybuilders, it’s important to take more Protein, but too much of it can cause Health Problems.
To gain Muscle Mass, you need to eat 1.2 to 2.2 Grams of Protein daily. For example if you weigh 60 Kg, then your Protein intake should be 60*1.2 or 2*2 = 74 to 132 Grams.
Eating excessive Protein can cause problems like Nausea and Diarrhea, Liver Dysfunction, and can result in Weight Gain.
Eating excessive Protein won’t do any good to increase your Muscle Size. We would recommend you to eat the required amount of Protein and focus on resistance and Weight training to build Muscle. Also add strength building exercises like Squats, Lunges, Pushups, Dips etc.
