Being the focal venue for IX Asian Games in 1982, it is stretched across a massive area of 53800 sq. meter. With a capacity of around 60,000 spectators, it bears a membrane supported structure. It also proudly hosted the Common Wealth Games in 2010. It is the 4th Largest multipurpose stadium in India and in terms of world, it stands at 51st.
Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium

Originally built up for IX Asian Games in 1982, it is one of the largest indoor sports arena with a capacity of around 14,000 spectators. Spread across 102 acres of land, it is equipped with soundproof synthetic walls and went under renovation for 2010 Commonwealth games. The first ever International Premier Tennis League tournament was also hosted in this grand sports complex.

Situated within the Delhi University’s North Campus, the stadium has a whooping capacity of approximately 75000 temporary seats and 25000 permanent seats. Inaugurated in July 2010 , it has many training areas for boxing, Netball, Athletics and Women’s Wrestling. It also hosted Rugby Sevens for Commonwealth Games 2010. It is easily accessible from the underground metro at Vishwavidyalay Station.

The credit for its immaculate designing does to architects PTM of Australia and Kappor Associates of Delhi. Named after a South Indian music composer, the venue was built for 2010 Commonwealth Games for Netball competition. Green technologies such as fly ash bricks have been used for the purpose of its construction. Lighting here is provided using solar system and the building is awarded Gold rating for its Green features by Indian Green Building Council.
Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium

This stadium was dedicated to the hockey field and also named on a famous hockey player Dyan Chand. It is an international level stadium which projects a magnificent view of Central Vista from Raisina Hills. With 14000 seating capacity, it can accommodate up to 6,000 guests in VIP gallery. First time in Asia, base hinged lighting masts are used for the purpose of sports lightings in this stadium.
Talkatora Indoor Stadium

This indoor stadium with a seating capacity of 3035 is owned and managed by Delhi Municipal Corporation. Named after a Mughal-era garden, Talkatora Garden, this stadium lies on the west side of the beautiful garden and was inaugurated on 25th February 2010. With four warm areas and one competition ring, the stadium facilitates athletics here with a tunnel to pass by. It was a venue for boxing competition in Common Wealth Games 2010.
Ferozshah Kotla Stadium

This cricket stadium located at Bhahdurshah Zafar Marg was established in 1883 and considered as the second oldest international cricket stadium in India. Owned and operated by DDCA (Delhi District Cricket Association), Indian Cricket team has been the most successful overall with 10 wins in test matches. In 2010, the venue was banned for 1 year by ICC because of its bad pitch conditions for the match between India Vs Srilanka and thereafter returned as one of the considerable venue for Cricket World Cup 2011.
R K Khanna Stadium

Dedicated to tennis as sports, this stadium has six match courts, a centre court and six warm-up courts. Opened in 1982, it was named after Raj Kumar Khanna who was a president of All India Tennis Association. It was further renovated in 2009 and was a venue for tennis events in Commonwealth Games 2010.
