A much acclaimed international Band Coldplay is now landing in India. With the whopping prices for the concert world is expected to be around INR 25,000 and the same is expected to go up to as high as INR 5,00,000 as reported by some of the dependable media sources, not planning let the fans down and all set to rejoice concert. The insanity of fans can be judged from the fact that they have already started applying for casual leaves and booking flight tickets from different corners of India to head towards Mumbai around the concert time.
Always in the limelight otherwise, this band has caught special attention ever since it entered in India last year. The concert is part of a 15 year campaign by Global Citizen to initiate a social change in the country and is expected to be organised in Mumbai on November 19th, 2016 . The Coldman’s mentor Mr. Chris Martin had a confidential meeting with PM Narendra Modi while he travelled India for his music shoot and tied up to promote their on-going initiatives like ‘Swachh Bharat’, ‘Beti Bachaao-Beti Padhao’ campaigns.
Initiated in US in 2012, Global Citizen Festival is an annual non-profit music band. In 2014, our prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi had participated this festival in New York.
Details of Concert:
Official date and venue of the concert has already been announced. It shall be organised at MMRDA (BKC) in Mumbai on November 19, 2016. The concert shall be managed by one of the India’s leading communication and entertainment company – Wizcraft International.
While most of the tickets for the concert are free which can be procured by signing up at the official website of Global Citizen, few seats shall be sold exclusively on platform starting from INR 5,000 and the amount subsequently goes higher with forthcoming phases. The highest pricing is expected to be caped down till INR 15,000. To grab tickets on Global Citizen official website, one needs to go through a set of charitable campaigns.
Alternatively, tickets can be booked on an online portal – BookMyShow, but the same has been restricted with 2 tickets per transaction. The tickets shall be available around September 15th at this portal.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited in the concert. It shall neither be served nor allowed to be taken along at the event.
Details of Participants at Concert:
As confirmed by the BookMyShow sources, which are the ticketing partners of concert, 70% of artists performing in this concert shall be from India. This list includes the celebrities like Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Arjit Singh, Aamir Khan, who have given their consents to be part of the performances and the list goes on with many more heart-throbs.
In a recent tweet Government of Maharashtra confirmed its association with the concert. SOUND.COM is speculated to manage the audio setups for the event.
Strategic Media partners for the events shall be Times Of India and Viacom18 while Colors shall be the powered partner for the event.
Other biggies like Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor , Shankar Ehsaan Loy , Monali Thakur and Amitabh Bachchan shall be a part of this event, as officialised by Global Coldplay Concert in India.
