Also Known as Laxmi Narayan Mandir, this is among great tourist attraction spots in Delhi. Located at the West of Connaught Place, this Temple was built in 1939 by Sh. J.K. Birla. Dedicated to Narayana (The Preserver) and Laxmi (the Goddess of Prosperity), it was inaugurated by Mahatama Gandhi and people of each Caste and Religion are allowed to visit the premises.

Spread across an area of 7 Acres, took almost 6 years for its constructions. Started in 1933, the construction got completed in 1939 and open to visitors. This 3 stories Temple is craved with scenes from Hindu Mythologies and constructed in Nagara Style. Various other sculptures of deities as Buddha, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman are also present within premises.

This remarkable behold comprises Jali work, sculptures and tall spires. Geeta Bhawan is a huge hall embellished with striking paintings which are derived from Indian Mythology. The vast trace gardens and fountains within the Temple complex add to its tranquility. The tallest spire extends to a height of 165 ft and additional spires are 116 feet tall. Overlooked by Interior Courts, there are two-sided Verandahs on the three sides of magnificent and glorified temple building.

While the entry to the premises is absolutely free, Mobile Cameras and Photography is not allowed within the temple. The temple is opened from 4:30 AM – 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM – 9:00 PM. Best time to visit the premises is the morning and evening Aarti. For tourists, temple authorities have provided guests houses within its complex. Many international scholars stay in these guests house to learn about the Hindu religion. Most famously known for its Janmashtami Celebrations, the place is in full gusto and fervour attracts large crowds to indulge in its spiritual legacy.

It is the first temple made by Birlas across the country till date. All the funds that support the temple come from the Birla family. The temple is easily accessible by Local Buses, Metro, Auto-Rickshaws and Taxis.
