With Magnificent Architectural Infrastructure, Akshardham is one of the largest Hindu temples in the country. Opened to public in 2005, this Glorious Temple was completed in 5 years and a half with almost Three Thousand Workers involved in its construction and seven thousand artisan contributed to its exemplary beauty. The name Akshardham stands for “Temple of Gods” has 20 Thousand statuettes belonging to Indian Mythological Era.

The outer layer of the wall is covered with Pink Sandstone which Symbolizes the Love of God while the Inner Walls are covered with white marbles which denotes peace and purity. There are 148 Elephant figurines with 234 pillars and 9 shiny domes. Within a large bowl shape basin, fountains are built up in the shape of Lotus Temple. The interior of the basin accommodates large number viewers to enjoy serene Musical Fountain Show.

County’s largest stepped well, Musical Fountain here is referred as Yagnapurush Kund. A Vedic Yagnakund plays Vedic Mantras and prayers within the huge stone step basin. The show at this musical fountain is based on the theme of the “Circle of Life”. With a size of 91 by 91 meters, Yagnakund here is in the Shape of the Lotus.
