This Temple structure is beautiful. The Architecture is one of the best amongst all the Temples. The main Temple is of Goddess Kali. There are also twelve shrines devoted to Lord Shiva and one to Radha-Krishna. The story behind its inception is that Kali came in the dreams of Rani Rasmoni when she was going to offer prayers in Kashi. Kali Goddess told her in her dreams to build a temple here and offer prayers to him here. People who visit this temple also make there way to Belur Ghat. The temple is surrounded by the mighty Ganges.
