For all those who are facing a tough time commuting in Delhi Metro, here’s some good news for you! This October, the DMRC is introducing its Magenta Line spanning Janakpuri West and Botanical Garden. Trains coming through Delhi Metro Magenta Line will be expected to arrive at platform after every 100 seconds and that too Driverless.
To overcome Delhi Metro’s existing frequency of 135 seconds, The Delhi Metro Magenta Line will run on Communication Based Train control (CBST), a state of the art technology which ensures Metro to reach at every 100 seconds subsequently.
However, the CBST will be fully operational by March 2018, which means that the trains now will run on the same track and with a much lesser gap. Higher frequency also meant that the DMRC has to deploy more trains.
