Salads are the trending diet habit people are following across the world. It is a perfect diet supplement putting brakes on chocolate craving. Mind you, salads are more than just raw cucumber, carrots, olives and tomatoes. There are salad dressings for enhancing the taste of salads across the world. Caesar Salad

It is one of the most debatable salads, there are several recipes available around the world. Caesar salad dressing is an emulsion prepared using raw egg yolks, mustard, and two different types of oil. Extra-virgin olive oil is the recommended oil to be used for the dressing. Any other vegetable oil such as grape seed, canola or any neutral oil can be used as the second oil in the dressing. Garlic and anchovies should be minced together and made into a paste. The egg yolk should be whisked thoroughly, mustard to be added while whisking the eggs. The garlic-anchovies paste should be added after whisking the yolks, adding lemon juice further. The two oils should be added to while we still whisk the mixture. For seasoning, Parmesan cheese and black pepper can be added.

Ranch Dressing

This dressing is a combination of buttermilk, salt, garlic, onion, some dried herbs, and spices. Garlic should be minced, add some salt and mash up into a paste using a fork. We take the garlic paste in a bowl, adding mayonnaise, some sour cream, vinegar, paprika, dried herbs and some other spices such as black pepper and chillies. Buttermilk should be added after checking the consistency of salad dressings, as required.

After blending, some seasoning can be added to the dressing using black pepper and salt.
