On 2nd April, the petition filed by architect Raj Rewal asked for the preservation of these buildings and declaring them as nationally important, was rejected by the High Court. There will be another petition by INTACH which will be heard on 1st May.
Officials have informed that demolition will be finished by June. And after that, the appointed contractor will work towards the development of a convention and exhibition center.
