Alto Delhi Comic Con 2016 Day 1 – How Cool It Went!

Alto DCC 2016 had kick start on 9th Dec with some splendid of events line up along with some special appearance of the international guests. And thrilling the event was some more fun with exclusive experiential gaming zones, fans and photos sessions, artist alley, cosplay, book launches, and the counting goes on.

Highlights
Like every year, international guests are the highlights of Delhi Comic Con and this year the most amazing pop culture event brought to us –
•    Tom Richmond – Caricaturist, Cartoonist, and humerous illustrator for MAD Magazine Cartoon Network,National Geographic and others.
•    Joe Harris –  Creator and writer for X-files, Snowfall and many others
•    Nicolas Wild – French writer and illustrator. A writer to critically commended Kabul Disco.
•    DJ Elliot – The official Walt Disney World DJ
•    Gaurav Gera – Actor & Stand Up Comedian
•    Rohit Kumar’s Speed Painting Performance organized by Maruti Alto K10

Cosplay – Fans dressed up in their favourite comic , superhero and gaming characters. They had prett good chances to win INR 50,000 cash prize along with the opportunity to enter Indian Championships of Cosplay 2016 as a finalist.

Launch of 3 new Comic Books! – This included Ved & The Puppet Master & Shivaay 2 by TBS planet; The Legend of Azad by Zaponga; and Adhish Epiphany by Red Streak Publications.

What More?
And adding more to the surprises, Creator Jayzl Homavazir lead the audiences through the latest in the Beast Legion Web Comic Series at the convention. A great fun session was also broken out by Wacom showcasing interactive Pen Displays and Digital Drawing Tablets.

Celebrities from India
Akshay Dhar of Meta Desi Comic, Aniruddho Chakraborty of Chariot Comics, Vivek Goel of Holy Cow Entertainment, Shamil Dasgupta of Yali Dreams and Saumin Patel. All these creators from India were present at Alto Delhi Comic Con 2016.
