Wildlife Reserves Near Delhi To Enjoy Nature’s Spirit This Monsoon

Monsoons have arrived in the Capital and aren’t Monsoons always a reminder to us that we really need to spend some quality time with nature? And with rains pouring in a full-fledged way, there is no place better than a wildlife sanctuary to soak in the essence and beauty of nature!

So we have brought a list of Wildlife Reserves near Delhi where you should head to, since the much awaited long weekend is almost here along with Romantic Rains!

Jim Corbett National Park
Where: Nainital District, Ramnagar, Uttarakhand (Map)
Distance From Delhi: 244 Km (6 Hours Approx.)

Apparently, the most popular Sanctuary, Jim Corbett National Park will welcome you with various wild animals as start reaching. Although the Park is supposed to be a tiger reserve, but coming across one is difficult. Because of its popularity, there are many resorts (both reasonable and expensive) here to offer you attractive packages.

Ranthambore National Park
Where: Prempura, Rajasthan (Map)
Distance From Delhi: 385 Km (8 Hours)

Situated in the Sawai Madhopur district in South-Eastern Rajasthan, Ranthambore is one of the largest National Parks in the North of India. While visiting the Ranthambore National Park, you can also enjoy two other sanctuaries – Kaila Devi Sanctuary and Mansingh Sanctuary- which are its neighbours! It is also considered a famous heritage site in Northern India.

Rajaji National Park
Where: Mohand Range, Dehradun, Uttarakhand (Map)
Distance From Delhi: 243 Km (6 Hours Approx.)

Are you also one of those people who love elephants because of their cuteness and innocence? If yes, then you are going to love this place. You will have rent an open air jeep and enjoy your ride spotting Elephants, Gorals and deer! If you are also into bird-watching, the place is great for it. And the best part is that Rajaji National Park is near Rishikesh, which means if you have that adventure streak in you can also halt there for adventure sports activities!

Sariska National Park
Where: Alwar District, Rajasthan (Map)
Distance From Delhi: 213 Km (5 Hours)

Owing to its closeness to Delhi, Sariska, located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan becomes a favourite getaway for Delhiites! The reserve offers some picturesque sights which are perfect to reanimate yourselves in the nature’s lap. The reserve is the habitat for wildlife species like Chital, Indian Jackal, Indian Leopard and striped Hyena along with a tigers.
