Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi offers one of the biggest platforms for hosting mega cultural events like Music, Dance, Film Festivals, Theatres etc. It was commissioned by the Late Prime Minister of India Shri Rajeev Gandhi. Its four magnificent auditoriums offer a seating capacity for 2500 spectators.
This premier multi-auditorium complex in Delhi is also the headquarters of Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It hosts the public screen of many National Award Winning Films besides many musical concerts, plays and cultural performances. it was opened in 1982 and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had taken it over for 1.5 million USD. Subsequently three more auditoriums were added and the complex underwent a renovation in 2009-2010.
Built in the historical area of Siri Fort, Auditorium remains closed on National holidays. Two sessions are available within auditorium from 9 AM to 3 AM and 4 PM to 10 PM. In order to book the auditorium for any event, you need to deposit 50% of security along with booking charges. The deposit shall be returned by the organizer post event. The booking shall be done subject to its availability.
