Considered as one of the remarkable architecture of Bahai faith, Lotus Temple looks like a Lotus flower. Open to people of each caste and religion, the place has no restriction on any visitor in that context. Completed in 1986, it is made up of Dolomite, Cement and Sand and drawn a splendid recognition world-wide for its marvel architecture.

Persian Architect Fariborz Sahba crafted this Temple from his extreme expertise. Lotus is a symbol of Immortality, Purity, Love and Peace and that makes this flower a significant Icon for Indian Culture and Society. With 27 freestanding ‘Petals’, the Temple truly reflects the eternal beauty of Lotus Flower. It took almost 10 years by 800 Engineers, Workers, Artisan, Technicians and Workers to turn this complex edifice into reality.

The complex Geometry of the Design has no straight line at all and it makes it one of the most complex edifices in the world. With nine reflecting pools, the Temple integrates the technological influence with Aesthetic values. With a capacity of around 2500 people, it is about 40 meters tall with 9 doors opening in its central hall. Surrounded with the 9 pounds, this appraising temple appears exactly Lotus floating in the water.

No idol is worshiped within the Temple; it preaches the teaching of Bahai faith believing in Oneness of Religion, Oneness of Mankind and Oneness of God. One can read or Chant Bahai sculpture or any other faith in any language to derive a soulful experience. The prime temple area prohibits its visitors to make any kind of disturbance or noise to exemplify extreme peace and calm within premises.

Lush green surroundings give an appeasing experience with a perfect sight to behold. Its breathtaking splendor is immensely eye-catchy when lit up at night. Dedicated to the purpose of spiritual upliftment, Medication and Prayers, this Temple is remarkable tabernacle of beauty and peace.
