A commemoration of the love for a husband by his wife, is what marks the distinction of Humanyun Tomb as a World Heritage. You may refer it as “Cousin of Taj Mahal”. Not just a place of architectural importance, Humayun Tomb has a historical relevance too. Most of us are hardly aware about the Historical facts associated with this alluring beauty and an Architectural Marvel.
Built by Hamida Begum in the memorial of her husband in 1562, the Tomb was designed by a Persian architect. Crafted beautifully by using red and white Marbles, the Tomb is surrounded by the green lush gardens. With an investment of around 1.5 million, it took 8 years to complete the Tomb. The stunning image of the Tomb portrayed can be seen from a good angle in the water.
Calm and pleasant atmosphere here is perfect to spend good time with someone you love. If you are a one who loves to catch up with some good music or books all alone, nothing could be better than this place. The picturesque view of the Octagonal Garden bears striking resemblance to the other tombs in Lodhi Garden.
A sort after destination for budding photographers, this place has a huge potential to help you in showcasing your photography skills. Astounded with perfection, this World heritage (as declared by UNESCO back in 1993) is at par with excellence. That’s the reason; it successfully draws travellers and tourists to its lap for an enticing and an unforgettable experience.
